A Civil and Structural Engineering Practice based in London are seeking an ambitious individual to join their Senior Management team.
The Company is an independent firm of Civil and Structural Consulting Engineers, who provide high quality, value for money services. They have a working ethos of friendliness, openness and trying to make work enjoyable for all.
Due to their continued growth, they are now seeing to recruit a highly experienced Senior Structural Engineer and for the right person, there is also the opportunity to progress to Director-level.
As a fee earner, you will have responsibility for winning new business, developing and managing a portfolio of clients. You will also be responsible for planning and coordinating work to achieve profitability targets and operational deadlines for design and drawing production. Ensuring compliance with the relevant regulatory bodies and legislation including ensuring the Design Risk Assessments are completed and CDM and project risks are realised, communicated and managed appropriately.
Managing and leading a team of Engineers, together with Revit/CAD technicians and reporting operational delivery to Directors will also be part of the day-to-day to ensure client satisfaction and the retention of business.
This role will be pivotal in the growth and continuous improvement of the business.
Who we are looking for:
The successful postholder will be chartered with the ICE or hold the IStruct E qualification, have knowledge and understanding of project Design Risk Assessments, principles of BIM. Furthermore, you will have experience of working with Eurocodes and knowledge of the British Standards.
You will have a proven track record of delivering at a senior level across a wide range of sectors and projects. You will also have excellent technical design capability with all the main structural materials, with excellent business acumen.
The ability to build professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role, as well excellent project management skills. In addition, strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences will be key.
